To be able to get a feel for the different homemade face mask recipes available, here are some of them.

Homemade Face Mask Recipes

Apple and honey mask – This is one of the simplest and very beneficial homemade face mask recipes out there. Pick a medium sized apple and grated it. Mix it with 5 tbsp. of honey until it reaches the consistency of a face mask. Rub the concoction into your face and leave it on for 10 minutes. Once the ten minutes are up, wash it off with cool water. The thing about this face mask is that the texture of the apple can act as an exfoliating agent and the honey is a moisturizing and antimicrobial agent which will definitely be a good thing should you wish to get your skin looking fresh and healthy.

Orange and yogurt face mask – another of the very beneficial homemade face mask recipes that you can simply make anytime. All you need is a teaspoon of plain yogurt and juice of a quarter of an orange. Mix these two ingredients until you get it into a consistency that is similar to a lotion. Rub it into your face and wait for ten minutes. Wash it off with warm water then with cool water. The yogurt will act as a good face cleanser and the orange will help with the cellular regeneration of your skin. Cool water will act to close your pores as soon as you are done to keep impurities from getting in the skin.

Papaya face mask – with one ingredient which is the papaya, you will get a good skin cleanse as well as a natural exfoliating agent. All you have to do is get 1 small papaya and chop it into bits to be processed into a baby food like consistency. Once this is done, apply an amount enough to cover your face and leave it on for ten minutes then wash it off with cool water. The leftover of the processed papaya can be kept in a container to be used later on. The thing about this face mask is that the papaya acts as a dead skin and oil dissolver.

There are still a lot more homemade face mask recipes and what is shown here is but a fraction of them. These are all good for all skin types but if you have special needs, you can search the special types of face mask recipes available on the net. Be sure to know first your skin type so that the mask will be really effective when you use it. If you can, ask for professional advice on what skin type you have so that you can be sure of what type of face mask you will use. Never fear that there is no solution for your facial problems because all you need is right here in the internet to have the best looking face without spending too much.
