Beauty for Less

For any person, what is the first thing you look to when you strike up a conversation?  It is how the other person’s face looks like. The face is a good window to a person’s character and if you do not take care of your face, your inner as well as outer beauty will not shine. Here are some tips on how to make a Homemade Face Mask from natural and easily accessible materials at home.

A homemade face mask should be made from materials that are natural and organic. For example, Honey is a naturally occurring substance that is a good face mask. All you have to do is apply the honey evenly over your face and let it stay there for 10-15 minutes. The honey will open up the pores and absorb the dirt inside your skin. Then wash it off first with lukewarm water then cold water. Cold water ensures that the pores will be closed after the lukewarm water washes off the dirt being absorbed by the honey.

Another safe and natural homemade face mask that you can make is yogurt and cucumber. Cucumber is commonly known for its effect of restoring our eye bags into the normal skin tone it used to be. Scrape the cucumber out of its skin and blend the flesh well. Mix it with 1 cup of yogurt and a teaspoon of honey to make it into a thick consistency. Once the desired consistency is achieved, apply it evenly over the face and let it stay there for 10-15 minutes. The cucumber will cool your skin and yogurt will hydrate it enough to give it a good glow. The honey is an effective antibacterial that will combat acne if you are prone to having some. Once the time is done, wash it off with cold water to ensure that the pores are closed.

Another recipe that you can make in your home is the oatmeal and yogurt face mask. This mask will cleanse and rejuvenate your skin. First, you need 1 tbsp. of yogurt and 1 tbsp. of oatmeal. Do not use the flavored ones, just plain yogurt. Next, mix it all up with a few drops of honey.  Once the mixture is good, place it on your face for 10 minutes and wash it all off with warm water in a washcloth. Then apply moisturizer to achieve the full effect. This works for all skin types and is easily prepared. Typically within 1-2 minutes.

These recipes here are only a few of the ones available on the online web. There are a lot more recipes and each recipe is different from the other. There are different recipes for each skin type and you need to know what skin type are you first and especially if you are allergic to the ingredients before you will be able to find a recipe that will suit you the best. But the common denominator of all is that it is cheap. If you are in need of a homemade face mask because you are financially unable to buy commercially made ones, these ones here and the others in the net are the way to go.
